The motion behind this organisation dates back to 2006 when KWASS (Korean Women’s Art Society Sydney) was first established by a group of female Korean artists residing in Australia with reason to promote the art culture and art science to the Korean community within Australia. They have had successful outcomes with numerous and various art events in which resulted in the community becoming more involved and aware of the arts and the role of the art culture within the society.

As KWASS members have come on board with experiences from a similar organisation, it is believed that the foundation as a whole will play an important role in providing systematic and structural support for taking part and holding various art and cultural activities.

In addition KAAF will seek to endeavor its support for the Australian multicultural council and take part in upbringing the ideology of a truly cultural and ecological community.
