KAAF to Host 2 Exhibitions in Korea, sponsored by Australia-Korea Foundation with grant funding from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade

Australia and South Korea’s physical distances are considerable. But at the same time contemporary artists of modern society tend to gaze through the coherent issues. This exhibition would be a great visual dialogue between both countries and to see how each artist explores the ideas of the world in which we live. Global network of cities and regions is not simply a material share, much in that they hold a mental flow and circulation and the circulation by maximising the sharing of exhibition activities.
The initiative of these exhibitions aims to encourage creative exchanges between Australia and Korea and not only making a showcase of contemporary arts in Seoul, Korea but also building market knowledge, expertise and networks for artists in both regions.
The exhibition comprises a collection of contemporary works by prominent artists from both countries.

The First Exhibition of the series 'Art from Australia' held at Gallery Imazoo

  • After extensive planning and preparation, the first round of the exhibition series, 'Art from Australia' with exhibition title 'Uncertain Paradise' launched successfully at Gallery Imazoo in Gangnam, Seoul Korea. This exhibition was held for 18 days (from 3rd July ~ to 21st July 2015), with the opening reception being held at the premises on 3rd July at 5pm.
  • There was a great turnout of guests and artists, adding to the lively atmosphere.
  • The guests were in awe and seemed amazed at seeing the modern and various techniques of Australian art. Suited to the exhibition motive of cross-cultural liaison, it was evident that there were many differences in styles and atmosphere of the two countries' leading artworks. The styles were easy to distinguish and were a wonderful opportunity to see and spot similarities and differences in the styles of art between the two countries. This exhibition was a great opportunity for the two countries to come together through culture and art.
