For me, all interiors are linked to the rich tradition of theatre and stage that were such an influence on my childhood. Every site in my work reflects that theatrical tradition. I use the concept of the set to load each depiction of an interior with the drama that has played out or is yet to unfold. I hope to create a sense of uncertainty and ambiguity, which for me is inherent in all interpretations.
