This lino print is on inherited pianola rolls, given to me by friends from their parents. The lino block repeats like the song on the rolls, like the waves coming into Broken Bay past Lion Island into the Dyarubbin/Hawkesbury River, framed by the peninsulas of Barrenjoey and Box Head.
From this bay are the other bays surrounded by bushland. Further downstream along the river are small settlements. The unrolled prints are the nominated maximum length, but inside the boxes are more concealed prints.
