Inspired by the natural world as a place of nourishment, this painting turns on the idea of reflection; both inward and outward. The mirrored pond of a Mt Wilson garden in the Blue Mountains becomes a quiet space for contemplation, where colour breathes life into stillness. Through layers of translucent glazes, I seek to evoke a surface that shimmers with depth and light, echoing the luminous calm of nature itself.
