It was an evening anticipated by all.

More meaningful and merrier to 'still' be holding an exhibition as 2020 brought with it uncertainty, vulnerability, a pandemic, social distancing, lockdowns but yet, resilience and a New Beginning to look forward to in 2021.

President of KAAF, Hoim Lee and Director of KCC, So-Jung Park

The evening kicked off with president Hoim Lee emceeing for the event. It was shortly followed by KCC director So-Jung Park addressing the guests and giving her warm congratulatory remarks. Then four of the exhibiting artists came forward to speak about their exhibiting artworks, how it related and what it meant for them to be living in a pandemic. This exhibition was different than any other year as this pandemic and restrictions brought in masks and social distancing into the newly renovated KCC but meant no beautiful Korean finger foods. Speaking of which, the KCC has a brand-new look and vibe. The vivid lighting shining onto the artworks brings through vibrant energy to its viewers most likely to be experiencing what seems to be a never-ending, tiring saga of Covid.

Clockwise from top left: Ann Arora, Guy Morgan, Caroline Zilinsky and Keesik Chung.

A truly meaningful exhibition of artworks by past winners and some selected finalists of the KAAF Art Prize that should NOT be missed!!
